Geospatial data acquisition  

Introduction to advanced geospatial data acquisition via terrestrial, airborne, and space-based methodologies, referencing and management of geoinformation. Student understanding of geospatial data acquisition, coordinate reference systems and frames, and management of geoinformation via programming techniques. Upon completion of this course, it is expected that the learner will be able to: (1) recognise and discriminate terrestrial, airborne and satellite data acquisition methodologies, (2) classify and appraise national, regional and terrestrial coordinate reference systems (CRS) and transformation processes, (3) organise heterogeneous geospatial information by means of high-level programming languages, such as Python.
