A leading feature of modern Geoinformatics engineering is the combined use of state-of-the-art technological systems such as geographic information systems (GIS), satellite positioning technologies (GPS), aerial photography and satellite imagery analysis and processing technologies. The program offers high-level theoretical scientific knowledge through courses in geodesy, geology, static mechanics, remote sensing, soil mechanics, photogrammetry, cartography, geography and spatial analysis, satellite geodesy, urban planning, radiometry, GIS applications etc. During the summer periods, after the 4th and 6th semesters of study, all students are placed for internship purposes in related with their studies organizations.
