Description of gravity in general relativity (metric space-time tensor, equations of motion of matter in the gravitational field, Einstein's equations), applications of general relativity (post-Newtonian approximation, relativistic stars and black holes, gravitational waves, relativistic cosmological models) Outcome: After completing the course, students will know how the general theory of relativity is constructed and will be acquainted with its most important applications
