Numerical methods  

Course aim The goal is to introduce the basic numerical methods and to learn how to apply these methods for solution of specific problems. Description In this course students learn the concepts of computer arithmetic, stability and computational complexity of numerical algorithms. Students learn numerical methods for solving nonlinear equations and systems of equations, direct and iterative methods for solving linear systems of equations, finite difference method for solving differential equations, interpolation and approximation methods, and numerical integration methods.
