Description: Quantum mechanics for non-physicists; quantum circuit model of universal fault-tolerant quantum computing; basic quantum algorithms. Learning outcomes: After completing the course, the student will be familiar with quantum mechanics to the level that is essential for designing and analyzing quantum algorithms; with the quantum circuit model of universal fault-tolerant quantum computation; with the basic quantum algorithms.
