Aerospace propulsion  

Description

The propulsion system is a crucial component in all aircraft. This module covers thermodynamics and methods of mathematical modelling of propulsion systems, specifically air-Breathing propulsion systems and components, combustion thermodynamics and combustors, nozzles and afterburners. The module also explores electrical propulsion systems found in most UAV systems and will characterise typical engines in flight experiments.
